1.    Portable Defibrillator – Also known as an AED, defibrillators are crucial when it comes to saving a life during sudden cardiac arrest.

2.    Defibrillator Batteries – In addition to having a reliable defibrillator, the defibrillator’s batteries should be checked regularly to ensure it is working properly.

4.    First aid Supply – The start of the new year is a recommended time to take inventory of all first aid supplies and make sure emergency kits are well stocked and easy to access.

5.    Up-to-date emergency service contact information – While 9-1-1 is the gold standard for emergency service, it is also recommended that a contact sheet with the phone number and address for the police department, fire department, and nearest hospital are close by. The contact sheet also should include critical details emergency personnel would needs such as the exact physical address and phone number.  Home owners may also want to include a list of all current medications and conditions for all residents of the home.

eMed Inc’s warehouse is one of the largest warehouses in the United States and houses more than $1 million in inventory. Located at 1515 South Bowman Road in Little Rock, Arkansas, the new facility has tractor trailer loading docks to accommodate, on average, five to six domestic and international shipments, supporting their consistent increase in defibrillator sales and equipment.

“We have been fortunate that our company has faced rapid growth during today’s economic climate,” said eMed Inc. Founder, President and CEO Ben J. Wellons.  “Our former facility on Barrow Road was much smaller and did not have a loading dock.  By moving to a larger, better equipped facility, we are able to house more inventory and process orders more quickly. This helps us meet our customer’s needs in a timelier manner and ultimately improves our customer service.”
